Equipment Servicing and Compliance Auditing

AES offer full service packages for Design and Technology department fixed equipment including woodworking, metalworking and heat treatment equipment.

CDT Equipment

Each servicing visit comprises a full inspection of all components to help ensure continued effective operation including:

• Electrical and mechanical servicing as per manufacturers’ requirements.
• Checks and adjustments of all safety devices and guards
• All machines oiled, greased and tolerances checked and set
• All electrical connections, flexes, conduits, isolators and emergency stops checked for integrity and operation.
• Anti-bacterial clean of metal cutting machinery
• Assessment for compliance with the relevant safety legislation including the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER 98) and BS4163 Health and Safety Design and Technology in Schools and Similar Establishments – Code of Practice

Heat Treatment Equipment

All heat treatment equipment including forges, brazing hearths and casting crucibles are fully serviced and checked in accordance with Gas Installations for Educational Establishments: IGE/UP/11.
