LEV Testing and Reporting

All extraction systems are required to be tested every 14 months (in practice this usually means annually) by a competent person.  The purpose of the test is to ensure that the system is performing as originally intended and the results should be compared against the data in the original commissioning report.

Log Books and User Manuals

Each LEV system should be supplied with a log book and user manual.  The manual should cover how to use the sytem, how to maintain it, and the spares available.  The logbook should contain servicing and checking schedules and forms to keep records of regular checking, maintenance and repair.
